I just bought a 1992 Eagle Talon AWD about 5 days ago. So far I have not had great luck with it since the previous person really didn't do any maintainence work, which resulted in a grenaded rear differential. My question tonight is what is the hole between the TPS and the 4 vacuum tubes? Here is a picture of the item in question circled and pointed towards. Mine was open today and running horrible so I stuck a pen cap into it with a little flow to act as a restrictor. The car would not idle without that hole restricted. I thought a plug may have come out. Thanks in advance.

I believe it is called the idle biss screw , it is supposed to have a plug . Most of our vendors have them as well as dealers .

that is the BISS (base idle set screw) its a major part in how your car idles. If there isnt anything in it your gonna have to find a special screw with an o ring around it then recalibrate your idle.

I believe some places sell replacements for them but i'm not 100% sure. Start by finding the screw then i'll help ya redo your idle.

you will have to contact a dealer to get a new one its under 10.00 and make sure to get the O ring for it as well.. then check out www.vfaq.com and fix your idle issue's also one thing i suggest to all dsmer's is if your not horrably concerned wiht emmission's you should check out the taboo emmission's removal diagram and it will cause you a lot of headache's trying to track down vac leak's and such.. the diagram can be found in the tech artical section under misc
