Dsm Link + Zeitronix

I know the following subject has been listed several times but really havent had much time to sit down and read the forum's so please forgive me if this is a repost.

I have pretty much made my mind up on my setup but I need additional advice.

I am ordering DSM Link tomorrow and will be ordering Zeitronix package toward the end of the week or first of next. I was wondering what is all needed for the two to work togather? I dont believe I need Zeitronix LCD b/c I will be running everything off my Laptop (is this possible to run the DSM Link and Zeitronix on the same Laptop).

Generally saying if I purchase the DSM Link and the Zeitronix kit will I be fine and if not what is recommended in getting with this setup.

yes it will work together great. when you order dsmlink you will be able to get into the forums which has several threads on hooking up a wb (also zeitronics) into the ecu so you can also log the wb through dsmlink. and you are correct, you DO NOT need the lcd unless you just want one. the standard $280 unit comes with all you need.

Which of the two would be better the Zeitronix Wideband kit or the PLX M-250 wideband kit and why?

I use the M-250 with dsmlink and no probs yet.

both are supported inside dsmlink. both use the bosh o2 sensor. both have the needed parts to get you up and running. it really comes down to preferance and what you can afford. i think at the moment you can get the plx cheaper.

plenty of people use both with dsmlink with great results.

What makes one different from the other than the name itself. Does one do more than other? I have read a little on both widebands and come to conclusion the PLX seems to be better with additional functions....is this correct?

both are pretty much the same. if you opt for thier respective displays you MIGHT get a couple more things from one over the other (have not looked at them in a while). however, if you are looking to just log through dsmlink and not worry about the display, there is really no difference other than name and price. both use the bosh wb o2 sensor, have narrowband simulation, and can be logged through dsmlink without any problems.
