dsm link start up

ok so i just picked up dsm link v2

and i cant get it started at all

my first problem is getting it into the comm port com1 so the lap top and car can talk with eachother

in the options->config tab->comm port.
i only have com3 and com8 why is this?

You should download the new V3 software off of ECMTuning, Inc. website and go from there. The software works with the older versions of link and is easier to use. Also use the dsmlink forums to get support from the developers and the rest of the dsmlink community. To sign up for their forums, email them with your serial number from your chip and with username you would like to use.
