Ok I have a 95 awd talon with a 6 bolt swap in it. I get confused on what stuff I need 1g and what I need 2g? I am shopping for dsm link and not sure if it goes by the engine or what as far as if I need link for 1g or 2g. I think it is 2g since thats where it would plug in, am I correct in that? Also same thing a MAFT setup, do I need 1g or 2g

You need a 2g version of DSMLink/ECMLink, and a 2g version of MAFT. I think that's what you were asking anyways..

You don't need a MAFT with ECMLink v3. You just need a cable from them.

Your version of dsmlink needs to be for the computer your using, the 2g cars fall under and obdII mandate and have an obdII plug in, and the 1g cars are an obdI and have a Mitsubishi connector.
