Driveshaft... one piece possible?

Hi guys

My Q; is why DSM's can't have a one piece Driveshaft? Whats the purpose of the center bearing?

My engine have solid mounts and rear differential is mounted solid as well, so there no movement parts involved

I remember Drive Shaft Shop tried it but they said the angles are horrible and it put a lot of stress on the u-joints.
