Are these spacers for the driveshaft mounts critical? I have some solid aluminum ones that weren't put on. What would happen if I didn't run these?

There's 8 total spacers. 2 for each driveshaft mount bolt

The reason I ask is because the person who bolted it back up, used coarse threaded nuts and it cross threaded the studs..... :( I cant be mad because its a friend of mine who's been helping me out a ton...

I tried to unbolt them but theyre stuck on there and I don't want to snap the stud, being that they're welded to the chassis. So is this catastrophic? Or will I live without the spacers?
