I am completing my awd swap and have everything but the driveshaft, I am getting a transfer case off of a 1g since I have a 95 awd transmission and a 95 rear sub frame and lsd, but I am wondering now if there is any differences in the driveshaft from 90, 91-96, and 97-99? If so what are the differences. Is there also any differences between auto and manual transmission driveshafts? Please tell me all you can about all the differences, I am really wanting to know and also if someone has a driveshaft for sell let me know also, but please only if it will fit for what I have.

Correct need a 2g drive shaft 95-99 as far as i know are the same. My buddy did a awd swap on his 99 we used a 95 talon as a donor car had no issues due to year differences.

If you had a 95 as a donor car and you were using a 99, then what i am asking doesn't pertain to what you are stating at all. I am trying to see what is compatible with what and why. If you have a donor car and you pull all the parts from it, of course everything is going to match up.

I found out that a 1g and early 2g, 91-96, used the same 23 spline transfer case, but a 97-99 uses a different 23 spline transfer case. I have a 1g 23 spline transfer case and my differential is from a 95 donor car. The donor car didnt have everything, but it did have some of the more important stuff, sub frame, gas tank, and driveshaft mounts, but that was it, so I am piecing the rest together. This is why I need to know the differences in driveshafts. I found a tsi awd that has driveshaft but I dont want to buy it until I am sure it will work since it is from a 98 and it is from an automatic transmission and I have a manual transmission.

If you have a 95 trans you need a 91-96 transfer case and any 2g drive shaft, they are all the same.

2g driveshaft's are compatible with 2gs and 1g driveshaft's are compatible with 1gs they are both different lengths it doesn't matter what trans / transfer case combo you are using.
