Drilling my stock manifold.. tough or easy?

I took off my 2g manifold from my 16g turbo. Found out - the 16g was rethreaded before I bought it to a bit larger size (7/16"), and now I need to drill the holes in the manifold a little bigger to match the size of the bolts. Basically, is it a rough job with a drill and a 7/16" bit to enlarge the stud holes, or not a big deal?
Any input appreciated.

Long as you have a good drill/bit, you should be fine.

You might want to use WD-40 or similar to lube and cool the bit while you're drilling.

Shouldn't be that hard.

start off with smaller drill bits and work up. The job will turn out alot better.

get a buggy to spray down the bit with wd 40 or pb blaster or your cohoice of coolant, and drill slow.

I would also do it on a drill press. If you are doign it by hand the holes wont be straight and it may be hard to get the bolts in. Drilling is like sex, go slow and steady and keep everything lubricated. If you do it an other way it never turns out the way you hoped.

Good post! If you dont have a drill press put it in a vice and hold the drill with 2 hands and slow/medium speed on the drill.
