Drill and tap exhaust manifold

I have the Exhaust manifold from the G4CN and it is good shape however, it is not drilled and tapped for an O2 sensor. Can it be tapped by my self, I don't own a shop and am trying to do this cheap...

I ask because the NT manifold I started with is cracked badly.

You need to drill and weld on a bung for the o2 sensor. If you just tap the manifold, the heat expansion and contraction will gauge cracking and improper fitment.

That is a good idea, I do have a bung already. Now to fix the damaged flex sction of the pipe or replace it. I should have thought of that
Need to check my other post regarding that.

Quick follow-up question:
Would it be too far away or can I weld the bung onto the Intermediate/downpipe that is connected to the exhaust manifold?

It is not a wide band, the placement question is because this Hyundai exhaust manifold I'd like to use does not have a tapped O2 location.
The NT 4g63 manifold I am using now is badly cracked.
