i currently use the bf goodrich g force drag radials. are the comp t/a drag radials any better? or are the g force better? i ask cause my buddy jsut bought an rx7 and it came with those comp t/a drag radials and im wondering which is better

the comp t/a were drag radials before the G-force line came out about 1.5 years ago. If i remember correctly there is 3 designs in the G-force drag radials and comp t/a is one of them they just switch the name :dsm:

ok yup I was thinking of the same tires, so no there is no better one. I am pretty sure they come in different sizes so just find one that fits your needs and looks coolest to you I guess.

From what I have personally seen, the g-Force provide better numbers 3 times out of 4.

as compared to what?? we are discussing both types of different bfg drag radials so neither is better than the other. As far as bfg's compared to other dr's I find that they are better than nitto's for drag racing but they side walls are very very soft so you should be careful if tyring to carve corners with the bfg's where as the nittos can serve both purposes.

Compared to what this thread is about: g-Force -vs- Comp TA DR's

I have an old school turbocharged Dodge Omni GLH, and these two tires were a hot topic a few months ago on the Dodge board. 3 out of 4 people seen a lower e.t and better 60ft when they switched from the Comps to the g-Force'. Hence the g-Force is a better tire.

And why would you try to 'carve corners' with a drag radial? There is a reason they are called DRAG radials.

o dont know about 2g's but they fit early 1gs, i work at a tire shop and just picked up some stele's. but i dont know if they would fit with the bigger caliper, maybe with the right offset it would.

The differnce between the two is sidewall strength... Comp TA is better for drag as the side wall will wrinkle more and gforce wont as much and better for handling corners.. Both are very good tires though

hey blackfire how wide are those rims and dod you remember by any chance where you got them i am looking for a set of rims to put slicks on
