Drag motor mounts

Not exactly sure where to post this so if this is in the wrong place, mt bad.
I hear of people complaining about their motor mounts when drag racing these cars sometimes, so I am curious as to what motor mounts have been proven to work best for drag racing? This is in regards to an automatic with well over 500hp.

IMO, the best combo is urethane engine and tranny mounts with solid (aluminum or steel) front and rear roll stops. That combo eliminates roll and keeps NVH to an acceptable level.

And then buy the poly urethane motor and tranny mounts from a vent or. You will need a press for them all but they work dang well. I run that setup and it is far better than stock but not gonna rattle everything loose.

Use Prothanes for the mounts and you'll have to have someone machine the roll stops. The guy that did mine 5 years ago has since stopped offering them. But here's that they look like:

I don't know of anyone readily offering the solid aluminum roll stops right now. If my lathe was big enough, I'd be turning them and selling them here.

The Avid mounts are very nice, but a bit on the expensive side. If you're on a budget, there are most definitely cheaper ways to accomplish the same performance.

Thanks a lot for the link. Helps out a lot if I decide to go that way. I'm going to look around a little while and see what I can find or see if anyone else responds with information about solids or other mounts.
