Is it true that if i were to get a apexi gt exhaust with the gt downpipe (cat eliminator) it stink really bad? just asking in general with all downpipe which eliminate the catalyzer (sp?)

I have the N1 downpipe that has no provision for a cat, and you can notice the smell of gas. I don't know if tha's what you were referring to or not.

In terms of an actual odor it's not bad. Pollution, not so friendly. But bad exhaust smells come when you're burning something other than fuel in your car,--> Coolant/Oil.

is the downpipe worth getting? is the smell bearable? and yes that was what i was referring too.

thanks

smell is bearable, but i burn oil so it stinks. not in my car but who ever is behind me is smelling it, sucks to be them. plus my friend told me it stinks

DSM's run very rich in stock trim, remove the cat and you will know that first hand, at least your nose will

The fuel smell is bearable, considering the gains you get from removing the cat, its worth it, plus when you tune it later on down the line, you wont smell it as much..

I like it, and as others have pointed out you only really notice the smell if you are behind your car when it is running. Of course yesterday I noticed it when I rolled my window down, but I had been sitting in one spot for a while. Hey, you can't win em all.
