Downpipe question?

Will a 3inch downpipe bolt up eventhough I have the stock turbo?

yes, it will. i have a 3'' HKS downpipe on my car w/ a stock turbo. its fine.

i have a 97gst and i also have the Thermal R&D 3"cat-back exaust and i need a DP i was just wondering if anyone knows of any downpipe that will bolt on to my exaust. I WANT NO CATS , if any one knows just holla back

Just to add to what clipise said...the downpipe bolts up to the O2 housing, not the turbo so it's not the turbo you need to worry about bolting to, it's the O2. You have a stock or compatible O2 housing and you're all set. Also, even though I can't speak from personal experience since I went with a 2.5" downpipe, I have heard many people complain of boost creep issues with a full 3" turboback on the stock turbo. Just somethin you might want to take into consideration.

xxbboygstxx- The Thermal exhausts neck down to 2.5" near the cat in order to bolt up cleanly to the stock cat. In order to run a full 3" turboback you have to cut this part of the exhaust off, weld in a 3" extension pipe, and then you can use a 3" cat-eliminator downpipe, or get a 3" downpipe and a 3" test pipe. If you don't wanna do this you'll have to go with a pipe that has a 2.5" flange on the exhaust side. I have heard really good things about the Buschur Racing downpipe but there is a number of downpipes out there to chose from, most of which will give you considerable gains. yea, i kinda figured that i would have to cut the end piece of my exaust where the cat connects. i heard that the stillen downpipe would fit perfectly just have to cut that end piece if i want NO cat , but thanks you guys for youre help. Gotta install my DEFI BOOST GAUGE, peace
