down pipe problems.

so i bought a new down pipe and was trying to install it and now heres my prblem the bolts will not break on the bottom of the car. no matter how hard i or anybody tries we can not get these bolts to come off what should i do?

What bolts? Only thing I can recommend is a breaker bar, pb blaster and if needed heat(torch).

cutting torch, just heat them up and us a break over bar. Had a problem like that not to long ago.

Mine was hard but I just took out the breaker bar

PB blaster. Spray it everyday for a couple days, then go at it. It'll be much easier if you spray it daily.

Grind the heads off the old bolts.
Install new Stainless bolts..
Problem solved.

I agree with the guys above. Get a torch, heat the bolts up real good, then go at it while it's hot and they should come right off.

PB blaster, torch, and impact wrench. I wouldn't recommend break bars unless you get really nice high quality ones like Craftman with at least a 1/2" drive.

I had the same problem, I ended up having to take a hacksaw to the old downpipe and cutting it off. The nuts that bolt it up to the o2 housing had pretty much melted on.
