Doors not locking after installing battery

I just installed a new battery into my car and after putting everything on and arming my alarm(a viper alarm mind you) It arms but the doors do not lock. I cannot even lock them from inside using the door lock button. I can hear a noise like the locks wanna arm but they don't move. What could be causing this?
