I just bought a project car and the drivers side door lock cylinder is missing, i was wondering can i take the door lock cylinder out of the rear hatch and put it in the door for now until i get around to getting a new one from the dealer?

I recently had all my cylinders out during a paint job. The rear-hatch cylinder is physically larger than for the doors.

FYI, new cylinders are no longer available from the dealers. You'll need to get one from a junkyard, and have a locksmith
rekey it. I don't recall if there's a parts difference between driver and passenger side; it'd be safest to just get one for
the proper side.
