Door guards on a 97+ Talon

I'm looking to buy a replacement door for my 97 TSi, but am wondering how the door guard is attached to the car because I found a 95 talon door in good condition. Is it adhered on or drilled into the door with clips? Will removing the 95-96 guard leave any body holes? I'm considering shaving these, how are the pieces attached to the rear quarter attached?

if I remember correctly, the ones of the front doors are held on with some clips and the rear quarter panel is just double stick tape. Also, I'd be very interested in buying those door guards off you, PM me if you would sell them

How do you remove them? Are they slide clips, where I have to move it one direction or, just pull? How do I get the clips out of the door? Do they come out with the guard or stay on the door?

I think they are called side starkes or something.

No, they all have pins and sticky tape around the ends. I took mine off and trashed them, I hated the way they looked. After you take them off you'll have 4 holes on the doors and 2 holes on the quarter panel. To remove them just put pressure on the top and the plastic tabs will pop out, I think some broke on mine, but I didn't care.
