Dome lights always stay on!!!!

dome light stays on all the time and wont go off!!! i search the forum but really havent found a definitve answer or solution that worked. ive pulled all the interior light and its driving me nuts!!!! please help someone its a 97 gst buy the way moderators im tryin to get some pics on my profile so dont wig out

check the little door jam sensors/button ... its like a little button you can push in ... make sure those are working and haven't fallen out of its springs...

yea i took out all the sensors/switchs cleaned them and they all spring backand everything

okay when you push down on those door jam buttons.. does the spring inside feel like its going inside the hole and hitting the sensor and then should be turning off the interior lights...

if you have a multimeter take the switch out and test to see if it changes continuity between the terminals when pushing it.

i can fill the springs moving in and out but i will have to try checking it with a multimeter later this afternoon
