this is going to be a super quick history of my car then where i need the help, also i am owner #3. so owner #2 who is a friend of mine buys the car, timeing belt snaps as it was prone to, gets the head rebuilt, belt snaps again, head is rebuilt again, starts smoking from under the hood. parks the car in front of his parents house and lets it sit for about 3-4 years. i need a car and have some money to work on the motor (untill bills came up). i bought the car in NON-RUNNING condition, started it up and drove it home. drove it for almost a year before it got impounded, then it sat some more. all this time it was sitting the motor got worse and now barely runs at all. *phew* that was a lot and the fast version.

now this is where i need the help. i bought a used motor from a local motor seller called attarco. the motor is a 4g63. my car is a 90' talon tsi awd 5 speed, it should be pretty clear at this point what im trying to do. put a n/a motor into a turbo car and turbo the n/a motor. i know this is possible i just need to know what needs to be done to the new motor before i install it. also what do i need to replace, i know the timing belt, front and rear main seals. I am also aware that without upgrading the inards that i need to run low boost somewhere around 7psi. i have a manual boost controller and once i get paid tomorrow will be picking up a boost gauge. please help me change the fact that most of this cars life has been on the side of the road and not on it.

if anyone wants to see the car and most of the motor out feel free to browse the pics here

i also have an oil pressure gauge that im going to install at the same time.

Why would you want to swap an n/t motor in? That's completely backwards.

cause the 4g63t motor was about 1200 and the n/a was only 400. plus the n/a has a little higher compression then the turbo motor.

And weaker rods, no oil squirters, etc. Not a good idea if you plan on making any sort of power.

Ya just go look in the classifieds for turbo engines you can find them cheap and even cheaper if they need a vavle job or head gasket, etc.
