Doing a 6bolt build up some questions?

Me and my buddy are in the process of building a 6-bolt block for my 2g. We are planning on using the car for mostly track some street use. Block is bored .020 over, We are going with the manley I-beam rods, Manley/or Je pistons 8.5-1 compression, Knife edged 6bolt crank. SBR stage 5/6 head, Gt40r turbo, ect. My question is, is the stock oil pump ok for this setup, should we be looking at somehting else. We are starting with just a machined block nothing on it so we need all new parts dont know where to get them and if the stock oil/water pumps are good, and what else should we be looking out for.

You will be fine with the stock one just make sure you get a good one from mitsu or a well known company.

Shep runs the stock oil pump...so I think it should be OK for the rest of us. Also the stock water pump will be fine, but I would get a new OEM water pump just so it doesn't crap out on you.

Nah we are shooting to run 6's so I dunno haha J/K if he is runnin it then I am 500 percent confident i recalled hearing they were solid pumps but just wanted to make sure I will be going new with both parts. thanks

6s Haha, Im pulling 5s...no n2o needed . we'll have to meet up sometime when I get out of college, and my Talon is finished, and check each others cars out. I live like 50 miles from you...so thats like 25min away for me...or less

Yea def. Its gonna be awhile till this car is done as it is right now its chilling on my lift with no motor trans nothing... Waitin for the tranny to get sent out to ipt.. and the motor to get here so we can start buildin but we still got a ways to go..
