I picked up a 98 gst for parts and it had FMIC on it, but it wouldn't fit on my 96 gst without sawing. Does it look crappy? or race-carish? I was thinking about converting to a 2gb, the 98 had a crap ricer front bump so I dont no if it will fit with a stock 2gb front bumper?

Yea, Im not real sure why it sits so far forward unless its a super thick core.. As far as it fitting with the stock 2gb bumper, you wont be able to just bolt it on. If you had to cut the 2ga bumper that much you will have to pretty much do the same for the 2gb. And honestly, the 2gb lights and 2ga bumper look like poop... Just my .02

Yea the core is really thick, I think the main problem was the piping, i'm going to try and replace it, but I is poor. The gap between the bumper and headlights does look bad..:(

I think its probably just the piping. But yeah there is no reason for the core to be sitting that far forward with the pipes stick out like that.

You would probably have fitment issues with a 2gb eclipse bumper as well.

Fubar'd bumper. Get a better picture with more light, I can't see too much actually.

Isn't the reason for the headlight gap simply because it has 97-99 headlights instead of the 95-96 which go with that bumper? Worse case scenario, I've seen others sport those headlights on that bumper, gives them more cold air going in the intake location. Or did you mean the gap in front of the headlight from the bulge?

Agreed, that piping is what makes it look like crap... Otherwise it's not too terrible.

switch bumpers and mount that intercooler back a few inches. It almost looks like something on a poorly done rat rod.

I would deffinately change the bumper to the 2gb and see if you can push the intercooloer back a little. Atleast when you get the 2gb bumper, the headlight gap won't be there any longer cause that gap doesn't look very good IMO.
