Resolved Do I need a stock O2 housing gasket for a evoIII install or is there a bigger one?

Do I just use a stock 2G 02 gasket for for a EvoIII 16G turbo install on my 2G? Or is there a bigger turbo to 02 housing gasket I gotta buy? Thanks.

There's an evo3 O2 gasket. you can get it from RRE, slowboy, fp, any place really. call one of them up, I think it was like $7.

RRE has it for 13 bucks, didn't see it on SBR's site.

Yes, port match that housing the best you can while it's out too

yes, you will want to them port match the 2g 02 housing to the Evo gasket. check out http://www.vfaq.com/mods/porting-O2.html for the specifics, this will keep a smooth path for your exhaust to flow through. Mis aligned gaskets/parts cause turbulance in exhaust flow.

I can attest to this first hand, when I put on my Evo 3 16g I figured I wouldn't have to touch my o2 housing since I have an RNR o2 elim.

When I pulled off my turbo the other week you could see dark black marks all the way around both the exhaust hole and the wastegate hole, the outlets on the turbo where alot bigger then the o2 housing...gonna have to port it alot.
