I am getting together everything I need for my 4g64 turbo project. I was reading one website stating that I would need a o2 housing for the turbo. I am running a internally gated t3/t4 and will only boost 7-8psi. What does the o2 housing do? Is it only for the o2 sensor? And should I need one for my project.

Thanks a lot!

Yes it only holds the o2, get one with an open dump. unless your going for the sleeper kind.

Umm it's what bolts from your turbo exhaust side to your downpipe. Unless you want to dump your exhaust on your turbo/engine. Or you have a downpipe with a O2 eliminator, Yes you need an O2 housing.......

That's an "O2 Housing" The exhaust flange/housing off your turbo.
If you have a custom one done you'll have to do either:

but that blocks your internal wastegate, so you have to have an external wastegate on the manifold.

That'll let you mount an external wastegate there

Or one of these that will retain an internal wastegate.

You might want to make sure the shop you plan on having do your exhaust can flange up to the turbo...
