Whoops, my bust. I thought it was an '86, not an '89. Damned dyslexia. Anyway, the 89 5.0 was good for 225HP and 300 Ft/Lb torque, as Inflames stated. The '86 was a 200HP motor and they had an H.O. option(rare!). All still have $hitty head designs, though. They dropped back down to 205HP in '93 and up to 215HP in '94, but '94 was the introduction of the 4.6.

Close dude, '93 didn't actually drop to 205hp, ford just adopted a different rating system and hyperutectic pistons. I definitely agree that all 5.0's had sh*tty head designs. There is actually an "emissions bump" in the exhaust ports!! Also the 4.6 was not introduced to the stang until '96. '94 and 95 still had 5'0s. But anyway, back to DSMs.....

loose 10lb gain 1hp? that's sweet so automatically i am up 12.5hp cuz i took out the useless 125 pound air conditioning system.. my power windows work just fine who needs air conditioner

two questions..
1. what is MBC???

and also don't i need knock sensor, turbo ecu, mls metal head gasket, o2 housing and 450cc injectors???
or will it run ok with the stuff you just listed?

Yep hondahunter, you will need that stuff too (not sure about the knock sensor though) and probably even more (bigger fuel pump, full turbo exhaust, etc.) MBC is Manual Boost Controller.

he's lying, it's 120HP per liter. yes it's still alot but the engineering behind the S2000 is pretty crazy. your best bet is to go turbo. probably easier (and cheaper) than going turbo is just selling your NA and buying a turbo model.

there is no fun in sellin n/t and buyin a turbo.. wheres the challenge? i don't like having things handed to me.. although i do know you can mod the hell out of a turbo too
