####, ####, ####, ####..................

o.k. i bought a DN performance t3/t4 tubular manifold to work with my PTE 60 trim......
i have an AMS turbo kit which included the turbo, SS O2 housing and DP. now with that manifold, my turbo no longer fits. it hits the AC fans.....so, I bought a set of FAL dual slimlines......still doesn't fit.....
my O2 housing doesn't fit either....when i bolted it up to the DP, i could even get the bolts on because the DP hits the t-case....so I had a muffler shop weld in an extra 2" of pipe.....now it hits the oil filter, and still doesn't fit......

is my problem the O2 housing and DP won't work with my auto (as i previously had it on my 5 speed GSX), or is it the manifold......

anyone with a T3/T4 style DN performance manifold have fitment problems like this?

i hate this ####ing car.

haha dude i did the same thing yoru doing right now, i got all my stuff from ams and i pretty much did a complete review and install for them on the dnp manifold. the manifold that mounts the 40mm wg off the manifold does not fit on a 2g for sure. this is the one i did the project on and came out short. so now i got a new manifold from ams that mounts the wg on the o2 housing. my o2 housing did not fit also so i had to get my car to ams for a custom o2 housing made. i have fal fans and they do fit now sense the o2 housing was made just for my car. im sure ams could make u the same o2 housing if you got the same mani as me. all you have to do is give eric or kris a call and they will help you out. eric helped me out big time with making diffrent things for me to fit with my manifold and what not. im sure they will do the same for you. they stand by what they sell and will fix any problem that comes accross.

jim

p.s. witch manifold did you get and do you have any pics.

i bought the T3/T4 manifold, which moves the turbo too far forward, and up a little in the engine bay.
my O2 housing is an AMS unit that mounts the WG on the O2 housing.....
the problem is that the turbo sits too far forward now, so the slim line FAL fans actually hit the turbine housing.....
i just spoke to Eric at AMS, and their making a new 2G O2 housing for sale with their turbo kit that will work for the DNP manifold.
i'll probably just pic up one of those. but that still doesn't fix my problem of the fans hitting the turbo. Eric suggested making them pusher type and removign the AC condensor, but I still wanna keep my AC......

I hate this car even more now......

ya, there making that o2 housing off my car if im not mistaking LOL, i needed to get one made. my turbo just clears my fal fans. dnp should have put some more time into making there manifolds, i think. :thumb:

I don't have an aftermarket manifold anymore, but even with the stocker my PTE SCM61 would not fit right. I ditched my AC already, so I just pulled the fan off and now it fits. I don't see any other way to do it....

make sure the manifold you got was for a 2G. they make two dfferent ones as jim and I both found out. DN makes some nice stuf but there customer service level is at a minimum. Jims's Turbo has no problem clearing the fans its the O2 Housing that hits. we are going to make a jig of his O2 housing when he brings his car in on monday. And so help me god Jim after all the work I have put into your car this thing better MOVE!! :thumb:

Eric

I've got the dn manifold with the mitsu flange and a scm61 and the turbo hits the water pipe and the wastegate actuator hits the fans , this suc ks

haha it seems as if dnp should have put some more time into there manifold with fittings, they put all the time into making them work and look so damn good and have alsome welds that the fitting does work to good, but thank god the style i have is for t3 and my clears the lines and the fans perfect even with a fluydine, i also have dual 12'' fal fans. ill post some pics after monday when ams makes my o2 housing :thumb:

I think it is just a 2g problem being they have slightly less room than a 1g between the radiator and the head. 1g fitment shouldn't be a problem. I will still have to see when I drop my engine in but that shouldn't be anything to worry about because it places the turbo far enough so that a S cover clears the tranny by about an inch which is perfect imho.

Wasnt it you that I warned about gettinng that header on the dsm talk thread?

Problem is, when bolted the flange is no longer angled, it is flat, whereas a turbonetics setup keeps the flange angled like the stock manifold flange.

Good luck,
Storm
