I'm sure you have seen the diy fuel injector cleaners. Like some of you, I enjoy doing this type of diy's for experience, knowledge and to save money where I can. Curious to know if anyone has actually flow test injectors after a diy cleaning.

Thanks
Tony

I have, been working in making my own flow test bench, but it's pretty back-burner right now.

Last I did was just backflowing injectors with mineral spirits after soaking and activating them with a 12v DC pulse generator. One injector was barely activating before I cleaned them, and once flow tested it was only a couple CC's off the rest, and all flowed a touch more than spec'd. These were Toyota turbo injectors from a 7mgte. Flowed them at my old college.

Don't have an ultrasonic cleaner personally, but the college did, so if I build one it'll have US capabilities. But yes, diy cleaning can work, just depends how much time you want to spend.
