First question: For those with the victory performance super street fmic, did anybody hack up the bumper plate behind the cover? Any pics? Or did you just take it off completely? I got this ic at a decent price and I would like to use it but I don't want to hack up the support if I didn't have to.

Second question: Does anybody know where I can find a straight 2.5" (preferably aluminum) with a 1g bov flange already welded on it? Anybody know of any vendors that are willing to do it? I don't feel like shopping around for a welder.

Thanks in advance for the replies.

Actually, I'll just get the bov flange welded on by somebody. I still need an answer for the question regarding the Victory performance fmic setup. Thanks.

im pretty sure that if your front mount is over 10 inches tall then you will have to cut your support. mine is 12 and i had to cut mine. i did a pretty good job though. i even put back the styrofoam piece. and for your piping, go on ebay. i found all the bends that i needed there. you will basically need about 3 90 degree pipes, about 3 45 degree and a straight about 12 inches long. that pretty much how i did mine. its real simple, real clean, real nice.

Thanks for the speedy reply. I already got the pipe really cheap, 7 bends (@ 13 bucks each) and 3ft of 2.5 inch aluminum pipe for something like 120 bucks shipped. It is from Global technology and engineering. J-pipe is coming soon. My main concern about cutting the bumper support up is that I may end up with a hacked up bumper support that didn't need to be cut up. Because the brackets don't look like most of the fmic s out there, I don't know exacly where it will sit. The core is something like 26"x10.5"x3.5".

once you get the fmic bolted up and sitting how you want it in regards to the bumper cover, then you can try to slap on the bumper support, but more than likely it wont fit without either trimming it. not very hard anyways, i used a scrollsaw and took 2 minutes. i just had to trim out the bottom inside lip of the support, and it slid right over the fmic and bolted in to the frame just fine.

DO NOT just leave the support out. its there for a reason, modifiy it and use it.

this might help you out

Cool, thanks for the link. How big is your core with the endtanks? Thanks.

Thomas91169, you wanna help me do a custom FMIC setup for both of my 1st gen AWD's???

i wanna keep my foglights also....

i trimmed up the support just enough to fit. i left as much of the support as i could. i could have trimmed it higher and the hole in the bumper so that i could have more air flow but i want that support to be there! i did cut out that piece of the extra bumper that is on the top of the hole so i could have more airflow. i also had to remove that metal strip on the bottom of the bumper.
