I want to build a FMIC set up for my 1G and I am wondering who else has done this. I was going to use a core that is around 20x6x3 and then have to fab up the pipes.

-Do most people use 2.25" or 2.5" for 16g cars under 350hp?
-Has anyone routed the IC piping to keep both stock fans?
-Any tips for mounting the IC in the bumper?

Any help or pics of your set ups would be greatly appreciated!

1. 2.25"

2. Yes.

3. Do all you can to get the intercooler as far into the car as possible.

Really simple job, should cost you like 300 all said and done including intercooler costs.

Thanks for the info, it all sounds like good news. Where should I be looking to find all the parts for $300?

Can anyone help me with photos of how the I/C plumbing is routed to and from the FMIC? I have found pics of FMIC kits on many sites but it is hard to imagine exactly where all the pipes go.

How many FMIC users out there still have both stock fans, front bumper rebar, etc? In other words, can I install a small FMIC without hacking up the car?

Most of the kits out there have intercoolers that are not as wide and they just enlarge the holes on either side of the radiator and run the pipes through there.
