In the pic where its bolted to the bumper, is that your 5mph bumper? You didn't have cut it or get rid of it?

Really nice job man looks a whole lot better then my fmic setup ROFL In my defense it only cost me $200 though :p Seriously though it looks good :thumb: You have a nice setup to, have you put any dyno time in on the new setup yet? Just curious as to what kind of hp your putting out w/50trim 650's and fmic :rocks:

Hey, not to shabby. I just finished my DIY FMIC kit using ebay items. Very similar to yours. Here is a pic. I did the same long pipe routing you did, so I could retain my SLS UICP. I did no welding on mine.

you did a great job on that install man!

Man, all this budget talk is getting me jealous! 200-300 bucks is damn good for a whole kit, I just wish I could find a core that could handle a 60-1 and I'd be doing a custom job as well. Very nice setups. :thumb:

good job, i too am all for the custom DIY fmic kits, you can see my build here http://www.cardomain.com/ride/509528/7 and if you go to page 8 you can see what im doing with the pipes, i had them on for a while and decided they needed a bit of color.

i see more and more people taking the time to do their own fmic kit than spend buttloads on a already made one that does the same thing. me, i dont see how a fmic and pipe cost any more than 400 bucks, its outrageous compaines sell them for up to 1200 bucks for a kit. you know somethings up when the turbo youre using is around 800 bucks but the supporting mod is almost double that.

What did you use for your core, and pipes? Im tryn to save as much money as possiable on a decent core.

I used some ebay one. Just type in 'dsm intercooler' or just 'intercooler' and A LOT will come out. Just make sure you read everything in the page, you might want to look for the specs on them. Such as what the pressure drop is and what kind of intercooler is it(bar and plate and so on). If you look through many pages you will find good deals, some even come with a BOV.

As for the pipes I bought like about 4-5 2 1/2 inch U bends from summit. :thumb:

Wow, these setups look awesome. I will hopefully be doing this to my 2g soon, so this will definately help. :thumb:
