Disconnecting downpipe?

Sorry guys dumb question. There is only two nuts holding the downplpe to the exhaust manifold right? This clap isn't holding anything is it?

Just those two bolts..But there may be one behind that holding the downpipe on..

There are three bolts to disconnect it. Those two and one behind, took me a while to find it too

Yeah Kinda caught me off guard too the first time I took one off..The one behind..The two for the downpipe are pretty straight forward..

That clamp is just a bracing to either keep it in place or spaced properly. Install it back if you think you need it, but everyone just pitches them.

I think it comes in handy when attaching your DP and o2 housing.It keeps it up so you don't have to keep pulling on it..

Just to clarify, on a turbo DSM, the downpipe doesn't bolt on to the exhaust manifold at all. The only time the downpipe would bolt to the manifold is on a non-turbo.

However, there are two studs holding the downpipe to the o2 sensor housing and 1 bolt holding the downpipe to a bracket on the front of the block on a stock setup. Most aftermarket downpipes eliminate the bolt that secures it to the block.

Hey thanks guys for the quick in info. Ok I just missed a bolt. Remove that an the dp will separate from the manifold. Don't worry about that clamp right?

Unbolt the dP forn the o2 housing yes..Then if it's stock, there should be a braket behind the Dp that holds it up..

If you have the manifold off which you probably don't..You should be able to see the braket behind the DP..
