So my vehicle got broken into a while ago and then the door locks had to be replaced. I should say that my power door locks no longer work either. Anyways, basically my problem is is that every time I have to open the passenger side door, I have to unlock it using the key, and then go over to the drivers side and then unlock that before any of the doors can be open (or else the factory alarm goes off).

So I opened up the door panel to take a look and noticed that there is a cable going from the door lock to a plug or some sort that goes farther into the door. My question is is that if I unplug this cable will I not have to worry about the alarm going off when locking and unlocking the passenger door (regardless of how I do it - outside or inside) every again? Thanks.

EDIT: Don't know if it matters, but I should also mention that if the factory alarm ever did go off, I would have to take a key, put it in the door lock, and then
"unlock" it that way to disable the alarm.

+1 cept only for my driver side door. I have to walk around to passenger side, use the key to unlock the door and hit the unlock button. THEN, walk around to the drivers side to get in without setting off the alarm....

Would really just like it disabled, if not fixed...

What to do?

I used to have the same problem I hated doing all that. So I put a aftermarket alarm on it.. PAGER SYSTEM.. So if they try to break in I will know.. :D

I replaced my door handle, and I have tride to get the white plastic plug back on the locking cylinder.
I thought I put it back on there the right way, but now when I lock my car and I opend it with a key the alam goes off when i open the door.
I guess its because of the white plastic plug that is attached to a wire is not on the locking cylinder the right way.
So how the heck do you put that plug back in?
I just doesnt want to stay snaped on the back of the locking cylinder.
Any help?
Also is there another way of shutting of the alarm when it goes off instead of disconnecting the battery terminals..
