I'm making my car into a track car and I'm looking to get my radiator more direct cooling without the air going through the intercooler first. I have the 95 front bumper so it doesn't have the biggest opening so I'm thinking about cutting out the area in between the headlights and channeling the air from there to the sides of the radiator and to the lower section. I was wondering if anyone has done this before or something similar. I'm getting a new radiator and intercooler so I would like to do this ducting while I'm putting the new stuff in. I'm planning on making the ducting out of aluminum and make it attach directly to the radiator support so it is pretty much one piece if I can. Any suggestions would be great.

Nice title, "Dadiator" ROFL

If you still have the stock air duct, it's a good start for a template. That's what I used on my setup I just did today. Pictures can be found in my latest journal entry.

I would recommend blocking off the space between the radiator and FMIC. That way all frontal airflow must flow through both cores. This really is the best way to do it and it should improve the working ability of each core.

Yes I am planning on making the ducting for the FMIC to the radiator. Maybe I can make the two come together somehow so its all one unit. Could some how the ducting and bumper be one unit so it all comes on and off at once? Is there some way I can attach the metal and plastic together without using rivets? I'm not a big fan of the ducting under the bumper that I have been seeing a lot due to the fact that me car is super low and I'm still trying to drive it on the street.

Does anyone know if I could use the front bumper off of an Evo III? Would it just bolt up or how much modifying would it take to have it mate up? Since the Evo III front bumper has the inlets above the intercooler I'm thinking it would probably be cleaner than cutting up my front bumper now.
