Dimming lights

Ok guys whats your suggestion on the light dimmin with the blinker on. what i mean is when im setting at a ligt and my blinker is on the map lights and the other lights dim at the same time the blinker blinks. what causes this weak battery crapy alternator. Give me some ideas.

My car is a 99 gst with no subs or any thing just the factory infinity with pioner head unit

Let me ask your question for you. Took me at least 5-6 reads to understand it almost.

When you turn your blinker on, and the center overhead map light is on, the map light dims when the blinker blinks.

This happens to me when I put on my headlights, I think because of a weak battery, or a ground. Not sure, doesn't bother me too much so I live with it.

Clean the battery terminals and the chassis grounding points.

ok Last year I replaced one of the ground wires because it was pretty corroided Ill replace the rest and see what happens. If that doesnt work I guess ill invest in an optima. Thanks guys.

That would be dumb. When the car is running the battery isn't supplying voltage to the car's electronics, the alternator is. A new battery isn't going to help.

And like Defiant said, clean the terminals and check all the chassis grounds.
