Sorry.. but gotta let some steam out! I bought a F1 Racing clutch kit from gripforce with a light weight flywheel back in March. After I had all of it install *May 2009* I drove the car maybe 20 miles but notice a grinding noise so I decided to take on the project by myself with some friends. So my car been in the air Since.. but really didn't have time to work on it this summer until Early August *hours cut short* so I get everything down and found that crappy TOB in pieces and marks rub marks of the flywheel touching the bell housing. So I buy OEM TOB this time and was STUCK trying to get the tranny back in for over a month. Even took both axles off and cleared EVERYTHING around to see what is hanging the flywheel... BEEN puzzled Me and my friends until yesterday. We decieded to take the flywheel and clutch plate off and put all my old stuff on because we didn't believe the flywheel was too big and it was actually in the trans back in May. Sure nuff all the old parts OEM flywheel and clutch went in and the trans went in 2 minutes. So now we take back off the old stuff and put the new clutch on but match the old flywheel up with the new flywheel.. and the new flywheel was exactly 1/8 of a inch diameter bigger than the old OEM flywheel... So i'm looking like WTF!! HOW!

BUT the new flywheel was sent to the shop to be re step because it did grind the inside bell housing. Went back to the place and they told me they actually took it down 1/8 of a inch already... so they measured both flywheels and they told me I bought the wrong flywheel for my car... they showed me the specs for fwd and awd...and I almost was ready to kill somebody *LOL* But now I have taken my complaint with F1 Racing for selling me the wrong flywheel when the kit and recipt says everything was for a AWD. So now I had to put that heavy crap resurface back on and started putting drive train in now. I can't wait for a response from Gripforce as to how and why this happen and will I get my money back for them sending me the wrong flywheel. I'm young so I know now for EVERY part to match up the old part on ANYTHING now on. I put COUNTLESS hours into putting back that trans and even posted a topic about it a month ago. LOL! So noobies .. Take HEED. :thumb:
