Resolved Differences between 99 GST and 99 GSX cylinder head

Hey guys, I bought a 2g last year in August and I have loved every moment with it, of course with buying a DSM, you’ll have to be ready for something to go at some point right. Anyways the motor decided it wanted to die and I’m in the mix of fixing her up. I was looking for a head and found one off of a 99 GSX. Now I have a 99 GST and was wondering if there’s any difference between the 99 GST head and the 99 GSX head and if I could literally slap the GSX head on my GST without any problems?

Well aside from what caused the motor to die and weather a new Head fixes it, there’s no difference between a head off a 99 GST or 99 GSX, except that the Head off the GSX is slightly cooler.

No difference between GST and GSX heads from 95-99 except location of the cam sensor.
