Difference in ngk plugs?

Stock plugs are 6es. 7es are a step colder plug, 8es's are two steps colder and so on. 7es's are for more than 16 psi of boost up to mid 20's to help keep things cooler and avoid melting plugs, thatsthegist of it from what I've been told. 8es and 9es are for much higher boost and I've never had to use them so maybe someone else can chime in on those plugs. But for daily driving it depends on your mods. For your setup going by your profile I'd say your safe with the 6es's. You just need to diagnose your plug too see if they are being fouled due to heat, then if needed go to a step colder plug.

NGK Iridiums in my 2G great all around.
Run mine with 10mm NGK wires also.

A buddy of mine told me he runs spark plugs from a lancer, not turbo. Supposedly they have a colder plug than our stock ones.

Anyone care to elaborate? Next time I'm getting sparkplugs, I'm going to try it and I'm going to ask what the heat range is.
