i need to get a new driver's side fender and was wondering if there's a difference between the non-turbo and the turbo fender on the 2g's. It says something about an air dam but i don't think there is an air dam on the driver's side but i don't know. The fender i have is slightly damaged so if the air dam is a separate piece i could just take it off the old one and put it on the new one if that's the case. any ideas???

I have a N/T and a Turbo eclipse. As far as i can tell there is no difference between the two fenders.

okay well when i called some junkyards they asked if it had a side air dam. and when i searched for a fender on ebay it said that the non turbo does not have a side air dam and the turbo one does. i dont know why the driver's side one would have an air dam unless its for the brakes ### the intercooler is on the other side.

The air diverter you are talking about is most likely inside the finder for the side mount intercooler on the turbo models. The finder will fit fine on N/T models...

Like stated before, body panel/fenders are interchangeable. The "air dam" is just a funnel shaped air diverter, like kergilman mentioned, that snaps(plastic bolts) in front of the stock SMIC and seals/surrounds the IC bumper cover opening from the back.

And just to be sure exact parts are not being confused between you and the junkyard or ebay sellers, these inside fender/wheel well covers do fit a little different between an eclipse and a talon: DSM Graveyard - Your #1 Source for DSM Parts!
