Need to know what the diff in the turbo and non turbo 1g maf wires is. My girls car has a turbo harness with a non turbo motor in it and i dont want to wash the pistons and ruin the rings so I need to put a n/t maf on it. Any answers?:hellyeah:

From what I understand the only diff is the 7th wire on the turbo maf. Are the plugs the same? And do i need to remove the 7th wire or is it fine to leave it?

The n/t maf will not plug in the turbo maf harness, its a little smaller. You will be fine using the turbo maf.

nt has a 6 pin plug, turbo has an 8 pin plug (but only uses 7 wires) so they will not interchange. There shouldn't be any issue using the turbo maf with the nt motor, the big problem is going to come from using the turbo ecu as it controls the fuel. If you truly have a turbo wiring harness you're also going to run into injector issues since the turbo cars use low impedance 450cc injectors with a resistor pack vs the high impedance 290cc injectors for the nt.
