Die on decel/stop, and problems restarting

I've got a98 eclipse with a 420A I'm working on for a friend, that's been acting up on her. It's been dieing kinda randomly on her when she's either stopped or coming to a stop. It then generally won't restart for 5-10 minutes; it'll just shudder hard like it's only firing on a few cylinders. Giving it throttle doesn't get it started. Again after 5-10 min, it'll start up and run fine.

I've changed plugs and wires, but I haven't changed fuel filter, which is my next step. I also plan to test the iac. anyone run into this problem before?

So it idles correctly afterwards? My thoughts would be a clogged EGR valve, bad ISC or IAC (or both) though usually if it idles fine afterwards these arn't usually the culprits, though ya never know. Maybe someone with more experience can help you. Best of luck

Thanks for the input. Yeah it runs fine when it finally starts. Just that after it dies, you generally have to leave it sit for 5 min or so before it will restart. otherwise it just shudders like it's missing bad. My dad thought sticking egr as well. Gonna try bypassing it and see if that fixes problem. Got new fuel filter for it too. If that doesn't work, might try new IAC since ebay has them cheap. It's her main transportation so hate that she's getting semi-stranded at times.

fuel filter was pretty plugged, and disconnected the egr. so far so good...
