Did I kill my starter?

So while I was fixing other issues over the weekend I had the car running and LINK connected. I go to shut off the car and realized I wasn't done with link just yet and turned the key OFF but quickly turned it back ON. I kept the car running for another few minutes until I was done with LINK. I turn off the car and come back to start it a few minutes later. I get nothing. I hear the fuel pump prime. It doesn't even attempt to turn over. Interior and exterior lights come on. Windows work. My initial thought was I just killed my starter.

I check all my fuses. I found one blown fuse which was my door lock 10A fuse. I only knew to look there because I was no longer able to connect to LINK or my ODB II scanner after the car no longer started. Replaced that fuse and LINK and scanner reconnects fine. Still no start. I looked at all fuses in car and under the hood. Everything looks good. Checked my battery terminals. They're clean and on tight.

I have yet to get under the car tap the starter and or possibly swap it out with my brother's GVR4. The strange thing is the car starts fine if I connect it to my battery charger. With that in mind I had Advance Auto check it and came back good.

Any thoughts or opinions?

If the car starts with a charger than I would think your battery or cables are at fault. But are you saying you had the battery checked already? On there test what does it say the cranking amps are? Also make sure the cables on the starter are all tight and all your grounds are tight and clean. When you turned the key back on did you grind the starter?

I heard no grinding of any sort. I believe the cranking amps is 640. When I had it tested my battery came back good but it was sitting at 612.

I will have to triple check my connections.

Thanks.

Why not have the starter tested? Its possible the starter is failing and if your jumping the car with a high amp it could free it up enough to start it. Hard to say, I don't think you would have killed the starter by turning the key on and off quick. Unless of course it was grinding all crazy!
