A few weeks ago I posted about possibley destroying my tranny or clutch and I had quite a few hits suggesting a transmission problem. I was driving my car quite easily and as I shifted into 5th gear only at like 2500 rpms I heard a decently loud noise and I naturally pulled over because I thought I had actually hit something. When I depressed the clutch to shift into neutral it didn't come back up and when I got out of the car I noticed a solid pouring stream of fluid coming from around the tranny belhousing. The car will shift into gear while not running. My dad helped me out and we pushed my car while I cranked it over and it started so I went in reverse for a ways up a hill and then pulled the car out of gear to let it roll back down the hill forwards. Then I was able to work the car into first gear while it was moving and it pulled along just fine after in gear. Does this suggest that my tranny would be ok and its possibley just my ACT 2100 clutch that is blown? I'm lookin for a little advice as to what I'm looking for.
Thanks,
Dustin

well you got to start with the basics LOL, if the clutch pedal is stuck to the floor, start by checking the slave cylinder, clutch fork and throw out bearing, basically anything that would make the clutch engage/disengage, what color was the fluid coming out of the tranny?

You should check your clutch slave cylinder....I had that problem a while back....you can lift the boot up on the rod and see if there is any fluid in there and also if you have the stock clutch lines check for any cracks....If it does I would replace it with a SS line....

The fluid looked like a burnt greyish black fluid, could have been some extremely burnt hydraulic fluid, I wasn't sure. When I pull the pedal up by hand it just falls back to the floor, no pressure at all.

The same thing happened to me a couple months ago. My clutch was depressed all the way to the floor and wouldn't come up. I tried pulling it up, but it wouldn't budge. Turns out I just broke my clutch cable... wasn't too expensive to fix. The only difference was that I didn't have any leaking. Because you are leaking (brake) fluid, I wonder if its not the clutch slave cylinder.
