Alright I am having a few issues with my car, the latest being the turbo not fitting because of the water pipe.

I have ruined two so far, the first one I dented still mounted to the water pump and thermostat housing, it bent the lips on both sides and leaked. I got another one, heated it up and dented it off the car, put it on and it didn't line up.

So my question to guys that did this, how did you do it to keep everything lined up and not leaking, thanks.

When i was putting my gt35r on i the turbo on the manifold and lined up where the water pipe needed to be "dented' or "crushed. I then took the turbo off and removed the water pipe and put in a vice and gently crushed it. I remember doing it in a few small increments until it fit.

Hey, i'm not to familiar with a 2G but when i put THAT turbo on my car i didn't have to dent it that much. I mocked it up, marked the water line and went to town with a BALL pin hammer. I was carefull on how i hit it but it worked out well.
How much clearance are you trying to give yourself? I think i only have mabe 1/16 gap at the most there, so if your are trying to get more room then that it might be your problem.

I simply marked where it needed to be dented, Heated it up , then slowly dented little by little with a ball peen hammer while keeping it heated.

Try clocking the turbo, if you already haven't tried... otherwise I'd try to heating and tapping once again.

Thanks to all who replied, i beat mine with a torch and a pair of vice grips because I had nothing else around me.

I have to bash it in far, almost half the size of the pipe in the first place. So I am wondering if its even possible for me to beat it in that far and not warp the pipe.

The other thing I am considering is refabing the pipe to where it goes to the front of the turbo behind the radiator and back around.

when you are test fitting, bolt the turbo and mani to the head, make the nuts snug. It turns out I dented mine a little too much ...I thought it JUST cleared untill I fully bolted the turbo assembly up, then I noticed I had more clearance then I thought I did.
