deleting vacuum lines, what do i need to leave?

so ill be dropping in my replacement engine soon but im trying to declutter, and clean up the engine bay. i will be removing the charcoal canister, egr and some other vacuum lines but im not sure what will cause issues and what wont. what are the 3 solenoids above the master cylinder for? can i remove them? also will removing the EGR or charcoal canister cause a CEL?
 
It's fairly straight forward once you get into it. I left everything that tied into the harness and just deleted anything EGR related. I left my sensors connected in stock locations to avoid cells, it worked pretty well. Make sure you cap off any open vac ports, etc.
 
awesome thank you, will i set a CEL with the solenoid group disconnected? or with the EGR disconnected?
 
with the egr no it should not, only time it really should is if its an electronic controlled egr, there for our egr can b blocked and/or removed, the pack up by the booster i cant speak for i know ive seen meny removed and cars run just fine but just my 2 cents
 
I did the taboo speed shop delete on my 2g. The only vacuum lines that I am running are the blow off valve line to the manifold, the PCV line from the valve cover to the manifold, the breather hose from the left side of the valve cover to the intake, The brake booster hose, Lastly I have my fuel pressure regulator hooked up in the stock fashion.

a vacuum line runs from the fuel pressure regulator on the right of the fuel rail to the fuel pressure solinoid on the firewall, a vacuum line then runs from this solenoid to the manifold. I chose to leave this solenoid installed because I've heard that it allows an increase in fuel pressure at startup in order to help the engine start in colder climates. many people delete this solenoid and simply run the vacuum line from the fuel pressure regulator to the manifold.

I also have installed an EGR blockoff plate. so in total I only have 5 to 6 vacuum lines. my engine idles and performs just fine. Make sure you don't cap the metal line that is connected from your evap canister to your firewall. this is a vent hose from your gas tank. blocking it can cause an increase in gas tank pressures which could break a gas tank seal.

Altogether this was much easier than I thought it was going to be. good luck.

I also 86's my canistor
left the check valve in place and reconnected the vent line to the intake hose.
would this cause anytype of erratic idle like a manifold leak since this line is after the maf
the tank cap is brand new????

Just leave the tank vent open and route the hose somewhere not in the engine compartment; so fumes don't fill up the area by the engine. Not sure if this would ever cause a problem though.
