Saw this listed in the vendor announcements section and was wondering if anyones running this setup... looks like a good kit and worth the money... its like $475 for the kit...the only to things that are bad about this is it doesnt come with the UICP and it says in order to use the kit you have to get a slim fan and eliminate the fog lights... i was looking to keep my fog lights but let me know if this is a good deal or not

Looks like a very good deal, but I wonder why in their advertisement they have pictures of 2 different FMICS??? One with short route piping and the other a side-to-side with other piping. I assume the side to side is the one they have and it is probably nice coming from dejon tool, however the radiator brackets they say it goes off of look really flimsy and I dont know if I would trust putting that on my car.

It may look like one of the pictures is for running a short route setup, but I don't think it is. I think they may be offering this at that price due to the massive popularity of the XSPower fmic kit. (around$300). They both have pros and cons. Dejon makes great stuff though, and you can get the piping (maybe the fmic too?) powdercoated. You can't get that with the XSPower. If I can get the Dejon fmic powdercoated, i'll definately get that one cause I want to go black (sleeper). I live in Cali...most cops r punks...

Actually D, when you click on the picture. It scrolls you down to the bottom of the page for a Larger image, where a few of the images on that page are enlarged. Just how the page was made for him. I do not know about the side to side core. But I have had the "race" kit for almost 3 years now. It is constructed pretty good and looks dam nice. It made my car feel as if it was on its race gas tune when on pump and the race gas tune is now VERY NICE, so be it the cheeseball turbo I am running. I have matched times from much larger and better built setups, so I am not complaining.

And they only powdercoat the piping. the FMIC would lose alot of efficancy being powdercoated. Its common to anodize (black) the FMIC. And dejon offers 2 kits, 1 short, and 1 long route (that conects to the stock location UICP) piping the short route is the "race" kit

Agreed, i have been exremely happy with all my dejon stuff. (intake, uicp, full exhaust)

And i also agree about the powdercoating, BAD IDEA to PC an intercooler. I believe anodizing is the only option to change intercooler colour without effecting efficency.

I would like to know more on this fmic. It would save me money since I already have dejon intercooler pipping.

I say go for it man, Dejon makes great stuff. I wish he had a kit like this for 1g's, because i have dejon piping too. And i'm not looking for gobs of power, so short route piping isn't a big deal to me.

Here is a beat Dejon race core...

Belive it or not this frickin thing still pressure tests perfectly! I coulnt belive it... It was a great intercooler and it did its job well. You can buy the IN on there website for 500 for just the core and then do your own pipes, the pipes are very simle.

I think the street core is long route...

let me guess, jacking up the car and the jack slipped out? Seen a few radiators lost that way.

hey guys, i have bought that street intercooler just recently and threw it on. i have pics but im driving around without a bumper, and i bought the UICP and the slim fan and everything went together as smooth as glass. if u still want the pics without the bumper i can upload them for you. but like i said it was a great deal and easy installation.:talon:

Yeah I still want the pictures, but my main concern is to see how it looks with the bumper on. I want to be sure it will fill the entire opening on my eclipse. Thanks

LOL, yes... it was the second time my car threw the Alt/Water pump belt off that day... I was pissed and in a hurry. I chalked it up as a extreem retard moment, LOL. I cant belive how dumb that/I was, rofLOL. Oh well, I bought a new one and a funking Fluidampr so it wont through the belts off anyore.
Anyway, back to the thread.. Dejon makes good FMIC's, they are strong... For the guy who want to know if it will fill his bumper opening, why dont you compare measurments?

I did measure the opening, but depending on where the brackets place the FMIC height wise, that determines whether or not it will take up the entire opening. I saw pictures of Dejons race core on a 2g eclipse and it took up the entire opening from top to bottom, and the race core is only 10" high. The street core is 12" so I'm assuming i should be safe. My main concern is that it fills the opening from top to bottom, length wise i should be good. But i would like to see pictures to be sure.
