Currently my front defogger isn't working absolutely no air is blowing out.
- My ac and heat work though
- I'm GUESSING somethings wrong with my knob and the pulleys inside broke or came apart
basically what I'm wondering is what other possibilities it could be that they aren't working besides the vents are clogged and any related problems

i'm not too familiar with cars in general so i'm new to this

If they are the pulleys that control the vents whats the usual repair costs to get this fixed?

Also when I hit my defogger button a few seconds to a minute later the light will turn off on the defogger button and my battery light starts to light up

What's causing that and whats the repair costs to get that fixed?

It's a push-pull wire, and has probably come off the flapper arm under the dash, although it could have done the same at the control arm end. Or, the cable casing has come loose from its mount. Get under the dash and look for the part that's not moving when you turn the control.

The electrical part of it doesn't lend to being email diagnosed.

thanks for the help and reply i checked under the dash and found that the wire snapped and i need to order one from the dealership now...ugh

so anyway it is the push pull wire i ordered one from the dealership and it was like about 10 dollars....

on a side note i asked them how much it would be to install and they said $180 bucks (2 hour job) the service clerk got an estimate from his book

if thats the only thing thats wrong with it

um...is that right?

and how hard of a job is it to do manually...
...and whats a decent price to be charged if i were to get this done by a regular shop

It's more fussy than complicated, and the high cost is from it taking a fair bit of time to do. You'll need to yank the radio, probably the glovebox, and do a bit of cave-exploring. I don't know if you'll have to take out the defroster lever assembly or if you can access what you'll need to through the radio hole. It's not really hard work, just slow.
