deep sound muffler

Im looking for deep sounding muffler with twin tips what particular brand should I get? Also let me know where to order them online and the price range. thanks later all.

I've heard good things from Magnaflow. Just look for one of their dual tip mufflers. Try www.bigexhaust.com they seem to have a nice selection of mufflers. Or maybe try your local parts dealer to see if they can get you one.

Yes Flowmasters are cheaper. But, you wanted a nice looking dual outlet tipped muffler. And sure, you could get a dual outlet tip and the Flomaster muffler/ But, I had an extremly hard time finding a dual outlet tip to go on my muffler. Most are 10 inches or longer. So it really wouldn't work out to well. That's why I suggested Magnaflow, some come with dual outlet mufflers. Oh and yes, I suppose you could get a Flowmaster dual outlet muffler and put two single tips on it. But I don't know how much that would add upto, how it would sound, or how well it would work.

I personally have a Afterburner muffler. Cheap, only $57 after S&H. And a 3A racing tip, $37 after S&H. So all together getting the muffler and tip welded on probably around $120. And it sounds good to me! Nice and deep. But I did not mention this before because you wanted a dual outlet tipped muffler.

What you could also do. Cut off the muffler and remove the tip covers. Have a good welder take a Y pipe, cut it down to size and weld on the stock tip covers and weld that in place of the muffler for that stock sleeper look. I know this sounds decent because when I had my muffler replaced I had the mechanic start the car without a muffler. But what ever you want to do.

Wow, that was a long post. . There are other things you could do. Just way to many to list. I hope I helped.

thnks for the long post there, Im planning on spending less on the shop fee, and I need just the Universal muffler fit with nice stainless steel dual tips but with a deep strong sound ...i heared good things about Borla too and theres a new Flowmaster Hush 2 power and Flowmaster super 40.

soo much too choose from but i dun want a rice farting sound . I need to find more sites where they post their muffler sound clips.

There are so many possibilities and so little sound clips. You will spend weeks searching like I did and never find any that relate to a 1g N/T dsm. You learn for trial and error. I spent $120 total on everything. I feel I got a good deal. Just choose a muffler that you think will sound good. Most mufflers are a straight through design with a preforated(sp?) core and fiberglass or steel wool(sp?) packed around it. To keep the noise down a bit I went with a chambered design. What ever you choose, good luck!
