Deciding on which Generation to get

depends on what you want for the car, personally id take a 1g over a 2g anyday of the week, more potential on the strip and i think theyre much prettier

But also it depends on what your into, and how much money you have to spend. 1G's look more like a killer, no room for show really, you can just go with a "clean look" 2G's have the potential of a street killer and a show car. But if you are going to be in debt buying a 2G, get a 1G. 1G's are cheaper, and aren't a "girls car"

i would highly consider going with a 1g turob awd......they're awesome looking and they are really great cars to drive! they are also becoming really rare! this is one of the cars.... if not the car that started the dohc turbo revolution everybody is into now. they are great and cheap to mod!

Definetly go AWD... wish I would have gone 1g AWD but got my car for a good price and I was really poor at the time. Where are all these cheap 1g's people speak of?? Not around here

2G if you want a street/show car. 1G if you want to go for power. You could always get a 2G and do a 6 bolt engine swap make sure its AWD

someone just called 1g's really rare? they are everywhere.. probably the most common turbo car i see. to answer your question though- 1g for all out drag car, 2g to draw mad bitches

either is fine, crankwalk is a WAYYY overhyped problem, and 2gs can be just as fast as 1g's. the fastest auto dsm in the world is a 2g. buy what you think looks better.

My choice in 2G...they have much cleaner lines. But if you talk to my fiance he would say "2G body with 1G engine. The 1G are much faster....but personally I don't think as good look with body styling.

But yes...like was mentioned before...definitely the one with turbo and transfer case!

1g for pure performance car that you dont really care much about looks
2g has one of the best bodies of all cars ever made :X imo and i wanted looks and some speed, so i went with a 2g and did some mods

1g for race car 2g for gettin all the bitchezzz and having a fast car i would get a 97-99 eclipse spyder gst for the money you sell your old engine u could get a hole 1g one spyders aint that much heavier and i think everyone can agree and say they look really nice! but if u want speed do what ever one said and go with a 1g awd

1Gs were built better, but of course they're much older now. Besides prettier, I think the 2Gs are a lot more comfortable inside, although the 1Gs are not at all bad.

It's really up to you.

But hold out for AWD.

definatly hold out for awd like said before. and check the compression of any used car before you buy it.
