Ok my girlfriends 99 gs has had a check engine light coming on and whenever it does the transmission will not shift gears. She just keeps cruisin like its in low. Next day it may be off it may not. I unplugged battery to reset it and it worked for a while. Ok so i took it to one autozone they hooked up to my obd2 and said there was 3 sensors on the tranny that sometimes go out and that could be it. It went off for a week and came on again today so i took it back an now they say the obd2 port is dead(2nd time thats happened) The last time the car was running when they checked this time it wasn. Why would it only have power while running? and Would anyone know what could cause her tranny to do this and what should i do? Other than spend lots of $ at the dealership? Thanks guys
