Datalogging options

Ok, Im working with a 92 gsx. Current mods are a 3in turbo back exhaust, a mbc, a 2g maf and hard intake, and rc 550cc injectors. Stock 14b turbo and stock smic with cloth hoses. Im looking into getting a datalogger so i can start adjusting boost, but have no idea what kind to look for. So i want your opinion of what datalogger works and whats a waste of cash. Lower price is better, but only if itll give me reliable information.

I would say the best/least expensive option would be a 1G logging cable from ECMTuning and TunerPro RT software if you have a laptop. Cable is ~$40 IIRC and software is free. Without buying tuning software, your other option would be a pocket logger with MMCd, but that whole setup can easily cost $100+. Not to mention the laptop is easier to read, obviously. There are a few other programs you can use for logging, but I found TunerPro the easiest to set up and actually get functional. Also all of the inputs are customisable, so if you have/get a wideband you can wire it to an unused ECU input for logging.

Ok that sounds good. Everything i was seeing was 200+. Im mainly wanting to watch idc's so i can see what kind of boost pressure i can get away with. On street i keep it at 15psi. Im hoping with the 550's i can get 20pai at track without race fuel.

You might be able to get 20psi with the 550s but you'll more than likely be heat soaking that side mount. If you decide to use TunerPro send me a PM, and I can send you a definition file that has the duty cycle formula and a few other things set up and ready to go.
