Datalogging

My 95 has an OBD1 and and OBD2 plug under the dash. Tried logging with the OBD1 plug but it didn't work. I used a scan tool on the OBD2 plug and it worked great. Can anyone tell me why it has both plugs?

This was because the government mandated that all cars switch to OBDII computers and matching DLC starting in the 1996 model year. Most of the manufacturers did kind of a half hearted switch in 1995 model years. Some cars were still OBDI and some were full OBDII and some (like yours) were somewhere in between.

Where could I get a cummunication interface for datalogging? I have everything for a 1G so all i need is this interface.
